Weekend in Vincennes

This weekend was spent visiting Ryan, Melissa, Kayla and Trevor. We had a wonderful weekend. Thanks to Ryan, Melissa and Kayla and Trevor for inviting us.

On Friday evening we had a tour of downtown Vincennes. We visited the local Malt Shop. Dinner was excellent, so were the icecream treats.

Saturday morning was spent at the Healthy Kid Race. Melissa, Kayla and Trevor did an awesome job. Kayla finished in 8th place. This was the first race for both of them. Trevor did an excellent job. We are so proud of them. The afternoon was spent at the movies. Monsters vs. Aliens was a delightful movie, enjoyed by us all.

The weekend went to fast. It seems like we just got to Vincennes and it was time to go home. Hopefully with summer approaching we can see more of them. We love to hear their stories and what's going on in the lifes. They are a really busy family. Denny and I do appreciate the time they took visiting with us and planning lots of fun things to do. Never a dull moment.

Yes, I am enjoying my new computer. My son, Ryan tells me that I need to get computer savvy.
Of course, we are working on that, however it's going very slowly.

It's amazing to use our video cam and share time with Ryan, Melissa, Kayla and Trevor. The wonderful changes in the children and their marvelous stories. Denny and I enjoy every minute on line.

The purchase of the computer and avoiding the trips to the basement for e-mail are amazing. Thanks again to Ryan. He has not given up hope that his father and I will become computer savvy.

A new computer for our home

Well after months of talking about and looking Denny bought a Laptop computer last week. This will allow us to have fast internet connection at the house and the best part is that the computer is located up stairs, no longer do we have to go down into the basement to e-mail. Over this last week we have have learned all kinds of new tricks. Denny was able to get the AOL going and I was able to install the Skype program so that we can video call Ryan, Melissa and the kids on Sundays. So much fun!!!!

2008 is Gone, 2009 is Here

This last year has been funfilled and jam packed with activites, vacations and family. We have enjoyed visisting and traveling to see everyone this year and look forward to seeing everyone on our 2009 tour. We here at the Lough Household are looking forward to fun in 2009 with the grandchildren, family and friends. Have a great year and checkback with us often for family updates as we become more computer savvy.

A Long Rainy Week of Service

Denny and Clint went down this last weekend to help ryan and melissa roof their house. They arrived down in vincennes on tuesday afternoon and got to work right away cleaning leaves and getting very thing ready to go. If they only knew that this would be the only day that it won't rain they might have started that evening.

This weekend Ryan and Melissa came to town. They came for Melissa's brothers farewell, as he leaves to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Along the way the grand kids (Both Kayla and Trevor) were treated to batting time thanks to grandma and grandpa. Swing batter batter, Swing.

Postman gone Panama Jack

Dennis is postman on a much needed vacation. We were enjoying the sun, sand and boat. Thanks again to Fritz, Cindy, David, Nanell and Megan for sharing their Sunday with us. Giving us a great tour of Palm Beach.

Living it up in the Everglades.

On our recent trip to Florida, we visited the Everglades with Dennis's brother and our neice, Megan.

We had a great time dodging crocodiles and seeing exotic birds.

Florida Vacation

This is a picture from our recent Florida vacation.

We spent two weeks there and had a wonderful time. Our time was spent at relatives and on the beach in Ormond Beach, Florida. This would be a lovely area to retire to or at least be snowbirds to this area.

The photo is actually on the beach and was reminder to Dennis about his once owned 57 Chevy. It was great fun!

A Little About Us

Dennis and I have were married in Columbus, Georgia on November 15, 1969. We have three sons, Ryan, Brent and Clint. We currently reside in Woodburn, Indiana. This is my first blog post.

Dennis works for the postal department and I am a nurse.

We have lived in the Woodburn area for almost 30 years. Woodburn is the small corporate town in Indiana. One main street and no stop lights and one stop sign.

We have three sons who have made us very proud to be parents. All are uniquely different.
